4 Thai nationals were among  the latest group of 16 hostages handed over to Israeli officials Wednesday night, the group were said to have traveled via Egypt and and then on to Israel, in what appears to be the last day of an extended truce in the Gaza war. 

The 4 Thai nationals will receive a medical assessment before being flown back to Thailand.  
10 Thais are still believed to be held captive. 

 

Immigration and local Police arrested 26 Chinese gamblers along with 23 Thais, at an illegal casino operating on two floors at a hotel in Nonthaburi.   Police seized six baccarat tables, six slot machines, packs of cards, and about 3.5 million baht in cash and casino chips. The two floors were leased from the hotel and key cards were needed to gain access.

Two Thai women and 2 Chinese nationals were arrested  for alleged involvement in romance investment scams, officers impounded assets worth some 300 million baht. The arrests were made during 5 raids at different locations in Samut Prakan.

 

Locally
A major fire at the Raja-mangala university just south of Hua hin severely damaged the roof and equipment inside the building yesterday afternoon, it took fire fighters 

About an hour to bring the fire under control, there were no injuries. The cause was suspected to be an electrical fault, However authorities are carrying out further investigations.  damage is estimated at around 3 million baht.
