The National Anti-Corruption Commission has found four former Revenue Department officials in Samut Prakan unusually wealthy, to the tune of 2.1 billion baht. 

The commission found their accounts did not reflect their salary from government service and they were unable to clarify the sources of income.. It’s alleged their wealth was linked to tax refund corruption.

 

A drunk policeman drove his pick up truck and collided with a motorcycle in Kanchanaburi, killing the 48 year old female rider. The officer was found to be well over the legal alcohol limit.The officer was taken in for questioning.

 

German company Stiebel Eltron is  investing 600 million baht to set up a production facility near Ayutthaya, the company aims to sell it’s heat pumps and related products to markets in Asia, Australia and China from 2025.
