LapTop w Win11, how to stream to TV?

I follow instruction, found on the net, and my laptop code flashes on hotel's TV but that's it. No connection open up.

My gf's Samsung phone work well (YouTube etc) but I'd like to watch movies inside my laptop.

I'm not very smart on this, any easy instruction to give?

Thanks.

This is a simple procedure.

Just let us know the model/brand of the TV & Phone.

(not necessary to buy anything else, if your current stuff is ok)

So ‘simple’ that you didn’t comprehend what he is asking…

It’s TV and 💻

I should have been clear (thought it was since phone use was mentioned... but wasn't);

Want to stream WIRELESSLY.

I don't see TV on laptop's "Multible displays" menu where it should connect. It shows on my gf's phone and is one click deal to connect.

YouTube has many instructions. I have tried many but no luck. Something is missing on my laptop, not showing up.

Windows +K will get you Cast and then select your display ie your TV!

You may have to accept the connection on your TV.

Laptop and TV need to be on same network.

This works for LG C9 TV and others with Miracast™ technology.

There are phone apps that should do this. They may need WiFi to connect though.

Not only on your laptop… you were asked three hours ago about the devices involved.
Do you imagine that anyone can tell you exactly what to do otherwise?

If Windows key + K doesn’t work for you, you’ll have to give more details or just solve the problem yourself.

Very easy ( I love when they claim that)

(remove gap if you want to see it)

...except hotel TV doesn't have "Screen mirroring" option..."

- Good old brain exercise anyway -:)

Why would you post a link with a gap in the first place? 🤦🏻‍♂️

The post you are slagging off actually asked for MODEL/BRAND - not type!

The post to which I referred asked for model/brand of TV and PHONE. The OP is using a LAPTOP. Calm yourself. You make mistakes when overly excited.

Yes, I comprehended that the question was with regard to a TV and LAPTOP. Somewhat ironic that you appear to be questioning MY ability to comprehend.

Semantics - the 'model/brand was the pertinent component as different brands require different methods/settings.

Semantics indeed. They determine whether your use of language makes any sense or not.
But in all your excitement, you failed to notice…that I was the very first person to ask about the model/brand 😊

So the issue wasn’t about him asking about the model/brand, because I had already asked that. I was simply pointing out that it wasn’t a TV/Phone combination, but a TV/laptop combo.
I couldn’t be arguing against the common sense of asking about the model/brand of the devices, since I had done so prior to anyone else asking 😊

If someone seems to think that instead a Smartphone is involved, then it is an absolutely normal thing to do to correct them.
You foolishly interjected and now you have to spend time wiping the egg off your face.

You seem to have a desire to 'win' so you win OK? Feel better now?

Not about winning; I was right and you were wrong. You just jumped in on the wrong side of an argument. It was a light-hearted comment, but some people are a bit touchy, so can overreact.
