BANGKOK, Dec 8 (TNA) — Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Srettha Thavisin on Thursday night presided over the opening of “Vijit Chao Phraya 2023: A Phenomenon of Light and Color Shows” at the ICONSIAM pier in Bangkok.

 

He stated that the Chao Phraya River which flows through the capital center, is another prideful tourist attraction of Thailand as there are numerous temples, historical sites, and tourist spots along the river.

 

These tourist attractions are worthy for tourists to visit and celebrate in the festive season, he said.

I'm never sure whether the reporters use the US or UK definition but, to me, the Chao Phaya river flows through the capitol not the capital. 🫡

The American definition of capitol relates to government, so it doesn't matter whether they are using US or UK English here. Capital is correct
