LauraR
I have an appointment at the Embassy to sign papers for marriage. I live and work in Thailand. The email says I need to bring my yellow book. I don't have one. I live in rented accommodation. Will my rent agreement be ok? Or should I change my address on my application to my UK address? Thanks
retarius
I've been trying to get a yellow book for ages, but I always get knocked back. They tell me I am not married and so can't have one. Which Embassy are you going to? As far as I'm aware, there is no Thai Embassy in Thailand, Embassies are set up outside the country. I'm assuming you are going to visit the consul at your own Embassy who will notarise your signature on the marriage papers. I have had lots of stuff notarised at the US embassy and never needed anything more than my passport.
LauraR
I'm going to the British Embassy. I'm from the UK but have lived and worked here for 14 years. I think I'll take my UK address ID too
