Bangkok Airways launches Special Fares Promotion

BANGKOK: -- Bangkok Airways has released special promotional internet fares between Bangkok and Chiang Mai from just 500 Baht for one way tickets and 1,000 Baht for round trip tickets.

These special ‘WOW’ deals also cover other cultural and natural destinations in and around Thailand during the summer months of July and August.

These round-trip offers include Sukhothai at 2,000 Baht, Phuket at 2,800 Baht and Trat at 3,000 Baht.

The airline also offers a single 4,000 Baht return fare to Pakse, Phnom Penh, Shenzhen and Yangon; 5,000 Baht for Ho Chi Minh City.

Moreover, the return fare for longer-haul destinations like the Maldives, Hiroshima and Fukuoka are commonly priced at 10,000 Baht.

The special promotional fares quoted above are exclusive of taxes, insurance and fuel surcharge, and travel must be completed by 31 August 2007.

home base is where ?

oh , you mean the obvious exemption on the list .

And not as cheap as it sounds>>>>>

Insurance surcharge USD 2 /person/segment THB 270

Fuel surcharge for domestic routes USD 10 /person/segment + + + almost as bad as the budgets airlines

And NO Samui flights?...Due to High season in Samui no doubt

It works out about the same as Air Asia fares that are booked a bit further ahead.

but, unlike Air Asia, good luck actually finding a 'Wow' fair from Bangkok Air. Eventually I just gave up.
