On January 16th, 2024, FM91 Trafficpro of Chatuchak Police Communications Division, Royal Thai Police, witnessed the goodness of a kind taxi driver returning lost money of a total of 100,000 baht to a Mongolian passenger in Bangkok.

Mr. Sommai Prachumkhun, a 48-year-old taxi driver, said to FM91 that he picked up a passenger from a hospital in the Sukhumvit area to bring to a hotel in the Siam area, Bangkok at 8:15 PM, on January 15th. He later found a lost wallet left in the back seat of his taxi after dropping the passenger off, reported FM91.

The wallet contained documentation of Mrs. Oyuntsetseg Durvuljin, the owner of the wallet, and cash in Thai baht and US dollars with a total of 119,834 baht, said FM91.

Sommai, the taxi driver, received a present of 500 US dollars from Oyuntsetseg for his good merit.

If that means in cash it's a generous finder's reward.

The elderly lady can be found on the internet, studied music in Moscow etc.

I wouldn't love to be in Ulaanbaatar at the time. Down to -30 C (-22 F).

Must have been a big wallet.
