I recently went to Singapore for my Tourist Visa and I had the necessary documents with me and I got asked to pay 50sd (roughly a 1000 baht)

When I returned the next day, to my big surprise I got my passport and my 50sd back and I even got an excuse that they had charge me in the first place ?

I was very puzzled because I have had to pay anywhere I went to get a tv, so I asked her why I didn't have to pay, she replied "are you not happy that you dont have to pay?"

I said yes of course but why. She explained to me that my country being Denmark had good relationship with Thailand ???? Anyone else heard of this before. I do have a dark blue passport cover to protect my passport, so maybe it could look like a diplomat passport and they made a mistake and couldn't redo the visa on the page, where the fee is also stated as 0.

Very odd indeed.

Cheers!

Heard this from a Swede getting visa in Singapore too - even saw the "zero" fee written on the visa - seems like Thailand like Scandinaviens! :o

Cheers!
