snoop1130 Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 A delivery driver, who is addicted to the drug Yaba, was accused of inappropriately touching a woman while working at a motorcycle showroom in Udon Thani, a province in Isaan. The woman refused a settlement offer from his wife and was determined to pursue legal action. The 28-year-old woman, named Fon, reported the incident to the local police station, Mueang Udon Thani, on June 25 at around 10 am. The suspect, Tum, 34, was delivering motorcycles and spare parts to the showroom with another colleague when the incident occurred. Fon said that Tum approached her from behind while she was in the storage room with another female coworker and touched her inappropriately. Tum then walked away nonchalantly after Fon confronted him about his actions. When Fon spoke with Tum's manager, she found out that the manager is also Tum’s wife. Tum's wife offered Fon a sum of 1,000 baht to let go of the matter, but Fon insisted on taking legal action. A coworker of Fon’s, 24-year-old Wijitta, testified to the police that Tum frequently made inappropriate remarks to the female staff about their relationship statuses. The police brought Tum in for questioning. While Tum admitted to being under the influence, he denied intentionally assaulting Fon. However, a drug test on Tum detected methamphetamine, also referred to as Yaba, in his system. As a result, Tum faces charges under the Narcotics Act for drug use, with a punishment of up to a year in jail, a fine of up to 20,000 baht, or both. Additionally, Tum has been charged with sexual assault with the specific legal consequences yet to be determined.
