Has anyone shipped a pool water test kit to Thailand, a Taylor K2006 in my case? I am buying it on Amazon and having it shipped to a friend who will ship it here. Worried about it getting here and customs!

When I was water quality consultant at Ramayana Water Park, I advised purchasing to order a Taylor kit from US. At that time it had to come by ship as they where classed as "Hazardous". 3 months to arrive. 

I bought that test kit in 2020 from Amazon and had it shipped to a relative in the US. She then forwarded it to me in Chiang Rai without any problems.

We where buying direct of Taylor. Obviously they did by the book.

How did you ship it, UPS, Fedex, DHL, USPS?

Did you have to pay customs when you picked it up?

Sorry, I don't remember but for sure it was not DHL because I've always had problems with them so I haven't used them in at least the past 15 years or so. For the past several years I've only used USPS but I don't remember exactly when I made that decision. With USPS, the most I've ever had to pay was 7% VAT.

They are all so damn expensive now, I am not sure it’s going to be worth it. But now that I have it, they say I can’t return it, so I am going to have to try to do something with it. My brother will take it to the Post Office and get a quote. My other option is that I have a friend coming over soon, but I’ve read that the TSA can confiscate just about any thing for any reason!

I'm using this Test Kit from Pentair, bought from Pool Mart in Hua Hin. In case some items been used you can buy them even separate t fill up the Kit again.

Not as thorough as the k2006, but it would’ve been good enough! Unfortunately, I already bought it and it can’t be returned, so now I have to figure out a way to get it here.

My brother took it to the post office and they wouldn’t accept it, they said it is not allowed in Thailand!
