When I asked this question from AU Immigration in BKK I was told to get both medical and police clearances done before putting in the application.

I was told it will save time in processing.

Write our statements of relationship, one by applicant other by sponsor, stating how we met, how long we have been in the relationship, how it developed, running of the household, sharing of finances, bla, bla, bla.....

You would probably have a lot of history to write down, as would your lady ! Tell me, just how much are you going into ? I've currently written about 4 A4 pages so far describing our meeting and the above stuff. I suppose they would be looking for inconsistancies between what I write and what She writes, I just hope the translation she eventually emails me (for checking) contains none! I absolutely have no idea what she's written ! I wonder how much a translation would be over here

Over seven years there is a lot to remember, so I wrote my own story as I could remember it, and sent her a copy over the net. It was about 10 pages.

She added all the things I forgot (she has a great memory as well as other assets)

When she added what I had forgotten, I re-wrote it again, and remembered other things that we experienced as doing also, it all started coming back to me.

After several re-writes I sent it to her and she had already written her own version, it made me very surprised how she wrote, it made me realize how much this girl really loves her husband.

After doing the grammar checks and spelling, I printed mine out. I didn't change anything of hers, left the same grammar mistakes and her wording, not English perfect, but it has its own style (I love to read it)

I added the copies of the visas from the passport pages to show the dates and travelling to Thailand, and also did the same with her to Australia.

I am sure that you will do something similar. It was a very lot of work, but it brought back some wonderful memories.

Cheers,

Reg :o
