Featured Replies

Is there any difference than the west trying to source APC's, tanks, F16's,

air defence systems, artilery and shells for Ukraine?

Yes. Western countries are not asking for weapons to be returned as Russia is doing. Instead, there have been some swap outs and intercountry transfers. The military production in the west is slowly increasing and western shortages are being addressed. The Russian predicament is different. It has a chronic shortage and lacks the capacity and workers to build the  munitions and weapons. 200-250,000 working age Russian males have died in the war. The coalition of free nations other than Ukraine has suffered no casualties and their economy is in much better shape than Russia's.

So they tried to buy back some  AD systems, BFD. Ukraine produced how

many comparable systems?

BUT!, RU does make good freezers! Today's body exchange RU was able to return 1,000 AFU bodies, for only getting back 24 RU bodies.

Yes, Ukraine produces a significant amount of its own weapons, with President Zelenskyy stating that it now produces nearly 60% of its front-line weapons, a substantial increase from before the full-scale invasion in 2022. The country's defense industry has boomed, focusing on drones, missiles like the Flamingo cruise missile, artillery, and ammunition. Ukraine also engages in joint production with allies, such as a new factory being built in Denmark to produce components for Ukrainian missiles and drones.
