Edit: OP, you may be best advised to check with immigration. They may allow you to attend immigration few days after the indicated return date.
November 5, 2025Nov 5 The time to ask this is when you were applying for your extension, and giving immigration the reason why, for example showing them a flight you have already booked.] Marriage extensions are not done in the immigration office, they are sent out to get a higher level signature and approval. That is why there is an under consideration period.
November 5, 2025Nov 5 Author Thanks for the replies, I did the extention twice already and yeah attended on the same date. But still wondering if the extention 99%-100% confirmed? and yes I do intend to send my wife to get my passport stamped cause I wont be in the city at this day.

Later on you will be required to attend Immigration. This will be both of you. They take photo of you together. After that you wait and your passport is returned with the permission to stay in it.

Collecting my final stamp in a week, on my own as usual. Walk in (no ticket required), hand them the passport, 10 minutes later they hand it back with the stamp completed. No photographs taken, no interaction required. Only thing to watch out for is they hand you the right passport back ....... once they gave me someone else's passport back.

Yes, I did not hear anything about photos or anything like that, last time I also went in gave the passport, my wife was with me. After 5 minutes i went to the toilet and when cameback my wife has already collected the passport, it seems they just give it to anyone, once your name is heard, so yeah, I think always need to check if it is your passport or also check if someone does not take your passport accidentally 😄 Imagine the scenario, some name gets called ( not yours) but they give him your passport and he leaves 😄

Even with the note or in general I come alone, are there any scenarios that the final stamp gets rejected?

Is it my passport , what is the date they have stamped in it , is it correct Are my TM 6 , TM30 AND 90 day receipts still in my passport ? Couple of minutes could possibly save trouble down the line.

When your immigration office gives you an under consideration period and return date I cannot recall an application being rejected. Some offices may ask to see if funds in bank were maintained during that period however again I have only read of a warning being given. However I put an edit on my first post that a check with immigration that wife can attend for final stamp on your behalf would be good idea.

They are not always on the ball, my date to return was yet again stamped 1st of January are you sure I asked, she looked at me blankly for what seemed like ages and then she realised, oh then just come on the 2nd she said, or phone up first to check. I heard this morning that the 2nd of January will also be a public holiday so I guess I'll be on the phone
November 11, 2025Nov 11 No, you have to go on the date they gave you, and if you go late, you will qualify for an overstay stamp to decorate your passport. (and it carries a fine, I think 500 Baht per day_)

Yes, that is correct, both husband and wife must attend initial meeting and documentation. After the initial 30 day extension stamp is issued on the same day, you can both leave and either or someone designated in writing can go pick up the passport 30 days on the date pick up up the passport. Done Deal!

Also when I enter on my re-entry at Swampy, always check the date stamped in before you leave the IOs desk area. The IO once stamped me in and got my permitted to stay until date wrong, pointed it out to him, I was taken to a desk to give me a correct stamp.

The OP has applied in CM, so his extension will be approved locally.

November 18, 2025Nov 18 Author Just to update you all, yesterday (exact date of under consideration stamp ending) my wife went to get a stamp for me, I wrote a note just in case there would be an issue. No issues, she went in, gave the passport to the counter 3 - under consideration desk, and they gave her my passport after 10 minutes with the final stamp, no questions asked, note was not needed.
