A woman stole valuables worth over 150,000 baht from a noodle shop in Pattaya yesterday, November 12. The incident occurred when the shop owner, Anchana Rattanapisankun, was busy attending to her customers. Upon discovering the theft later that evening, she reported it to Bang Lamung Police and provided CCTV evidence capturing the thief’s identity.

The shop, which doubles as Anchana’s home, was the scene of the crime when the ladyboy thief entered around 12.30pm. Pretending to be a customer, she asked if the shop was open and mentioned returning with a boyfriend. However, she never came back, and Anchana was unaware of the theft until closing time when she discovered her bedroom had been ransacked.

The stolen items included a gold amulet, a diamond and Cartier ring, and an Apple iPad. CCTV footage showed the suspect casually entering from the back door, ascending to the bedroom, and spending over 15 minutes there. The recorded footage also captured the thief’s appearance and interaction with Anchana.

Police are actively investigating, relying on CCTV to track the suspect who is currently at large. The incident highlights the need for vigilance and security in local businesses. As the investigation unfolds, police urge anyone with information to come forward.

Looking ahead, authorities emphasize the importance of reviewing security measures to prevent similar incidents. The community is advised to assist law enforcement by reporting suspicious activities, reported by The Thaiger.

Instead of spending money on expensive jewellery, maybe people should take vacations with their money as jewellery is far too easy to steal.

That image looks like sasquatch footage from the 1960s.  I thought it was Buckwheat creeping around looking for something to steal.  Buying gold jewelry has turned out to be an excellent decision, too bad there are so many katoeys about.  Pattaya really is the trap at the bottom of the sink.
