Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul informed US President Donald Trump that Cambodia violated a peace declaration with Thailand. He stated the attacks resulted in the loss of Thai lives and property, necessitating a defensive response. The announcement came after a phone conversation on Friday night between the two leaders.

 

Mr Anutin expressed the importance of this explanation to President Trump to prevent any misunderstandings regarding Thailand's position. "I must explain this to President Trump. Otherwise, President Trump might have misunderstood our actions as an attack on Cambodia. That is not true. We responded," the Thai prime minister clarified. He emphasised that responses were necessary to ensure Cambodia understood they couldnot act with impunity against Thailand.

 

Mr Anutin asked President Trump to convey a specific message to Cambodia, but he suggested a ceasefire instead. Thailand demands that Cambodia declare a ceasefire, withdraw its forces, and remove its mines. ASEAN observers have reportedly found new Cambodian landmines harming Thai soldiers, underlining treaty violations, Mr Anutin insisted, reported The Bangkok Post.

 

Mr Anutin underscored that international principles dictate that the violating party must rectify the situation, not the victims. He relayed to President Trump his inability to tolerate these attacks on innocent Thai citizens. Furthermore, Mr Anutin shared that President Trump promised improved tariff treatment for Thailand, explaining a prior oversight due to his busy schedule.

It  wasnt me syndrome someone must have started it for god sakes there is more to this maybe its a way to get the thais to vote for him they are very nationalistic

They can far outweigh Cambodia military wise but the notable comment was the tariffs 

Don't think Anutin knows anything about fighting (although he has planes, flies them & wears whatever crap on his military uniform although never serving (I think) 

This all about literally miniscule bits of land meters in some cases & "give them an inch they'll take a foot scenario" dispute whatever goes against them - don't accept just like Pooh & China - Putin a different <deleted> 

I can not figure out why they are fighting.  Doesn't see to be anything terribly important or valuable in the border area to fight over.

I wonder if the UK is as deeply involved in this conflict as they are in the other one. Keep an eye out for dead paratroopers who are supposedly 'training' foreign forces.
