Top Marks to Everyone Who Voted for The 47th US President

To everyone who voted for Trump because they wanted lower gas prices, lower grocery prices, lower inflation, lower unemployment, no new wars, a secure border, the swamp drained, and a full release of the Epstein files, how’s all that going now?

Well, let's do a quick campaign promise scorecard roundup. Gas prices are up, groceries are still way too expensive, inflation refuses to disappear, and unemployment is not exactly heading in the direction people were promised either. The Epstein files are still half hidden away somewhere in a bathroom at Mar a Lago, and the famous swamp in Washington seems to be only getting bigger, with all of Trump’s grift having increased his personal wealth by at least a couple of billion dollars since he took office last year.

And then there was the whole “peace president” thing. No new wars, remember? Nobel Peace prize and all that. Yet somehow there is a major conflict with Iran involving multiple countries that is raging strong, interrupting the flow of oil, air travel, sea travel, and various other things.

Funny how the campaign promises always sound so clean and simple, and then reality shows up and Trump quietly carries on doing exactly the same thing he has done his whole life... Trump first!

Ah, a British-Canadian giving their thoughts on voting in an election they couldn't even vote in. Truly, the thread is invaluably richer… for your unique contribution.

Affordable? More Americans than ever are tapping their 401(k)s for emergency cash. According to a March 2026 report from Vanguard, 6% of participants in their 401(k) plans took a "hardship withdrawal" in 2025. This is up from 4.8% the previous year and represents a massive jump from the pre-pandemic average, which hovered around just 2%.

The data clearly shows that people are pulling this money out of necessity, not for luxury spending. Vanguard reported that the top reasons for these hardship withdrawals were:

• Avoiding eviction or foreclosure: 36%

• Medical expenses: 31%

• Tuition: 13%

• Primary residence repairs: 11%

I thought he came in peace ?

Mistake !

The President is doing a good job as Vice President. That's why Biden picked him.

How about "No Foreign Wars of Adventure?"

Fyi - I voted for Jill Stein as she was the only candidate who's platform I could even marginally support.

Groceries "still way too expensive" and "inflation refuses to disappear"? Inflation's chilling at a steady 2.4% year-over-year (February 2026 CPI, BLS), core at 2.5%—that's basically the Fed's dream zone after the post-COVID spike. Grocery/food-at-home prices are forecasted to rise modestly ~2.3–2.5% in 2026 (USDA outlook), returning to normal historic averages, not runaway. The comment wants you to believe we're still in Biden 2022 hyperinflation mode. Reality: it's cooled dramatically, but yeah, eggs aren't free yet—shocker.

Suure! Food inflation is a great success for the President, who promised to bring down the price of groceries from day 1! 🤣🤣🤣

As a rabid, rabid left lunatic nasty anti-American I would have voted for this but can't as I am a whingeing Pom but thanks to all that did - periodically and at great expense the ROW has to mow Amercia's lawn - we are on the cusp of one such inflexion point.

So thankyou MAGA comrades - we couldn't have done this without you.

The White House, of course, is populated by slow learners – for this was already the lesson of Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya. And now of Iran.

However ground down the government in Tehran, the prospect of regime change is as far away as ever. Israeli officials privately admit that Iran’s ruling elite – a combination of medieval mullahs and Revolutionary Guard thugs – is unlikely to be toppled any time soon, that the chances of a popular uprising are slight.

But Washington is also starting to realise that an end to hostilities which leaves the current regime in situ is pretty much the worst of all possible outcomes. For a start it means that the Islamic Republic, however battered, would have seen off the Great Satan. It would have survived to threaten its Gulf neighbours again – America’s allies – in the years to come, whenever the mood took it.

Wrong. It was over months ago but most are too dumb to keep up. Not you of course.

Come on, OP! Don't be so negative.

Trump gave 1600 seditionists and violent terrorists a second chance by pardoning them. Call him Trump the Merciful. In the Gulf they're saying: bism Trump ir rahman ir raheem.

Okay, so a few of the pardoned terrorists have committed heinous crimes since their release from prison, but under 50 of them so far, which is pretty good considering most of them probably have IQs below 75. I mean, their rate of criminality is barely 20 times higher than the general population, and maybe 35 times higher than undocumented migrants.

Okay, so a couple of the pardoned raped young girls, and several have been caught with kiddie porn....but isn't that in keeping with Trump's bestie Jeffrey? And some burglary. Attempted murder. Violent assault. Wife beating.

Frankly, they were probably all boyscouts before Biden's DoJ sent them to prison, where they likely learned those evil ways. So I, for one, blame old Joe.

Now, to be fair, here's my list of Trump's accomplishments:
