Filipino work visa

Featured Replies

I noticed a few Filipino live bands when I was in Pattaya

How do they get work visas

Are Filipino people exempt?

Would imagine they obtain a Non B + work permit.

Here is a cut paste from a post in 14 yr old thread.....

"On the subject of musicians in Thailand. When I worked in hospitality we had a Filipino lobby band. No problem just went through the usual non-B and W/P process."

In my early days of interest in bars with music, I would go to joints such as Hillary 2 in Soi 4 .

Fantastic Filipino singers.

They would have had work permits.

I think if the truth be told the vast majority of those "pinoy musicianz" are here on ED or volunteer visas and doing what they do at the smaller venues under the table without a work permit or visa.

The ones at the bigger venues who play there as "house bands" might actually follow the rules, BUT I'd say they would be in a minority
