What Trump is trying to accomplish in Iran: infographic

I made a relatable image to explain what is going on.

Background: the US debt can't be sustained, Covid lockdowns and vaccination destroyed trust among citizens, healthcare is corrupt, DEI destroyed the work ethic. We are heading for a dark place.

By taking over the Straight of Hormuz and the Iranian oil fields, the US will solve its financial problems (the ATM in the image). The American citizens standing side-by-side with Trump will benefit, while the rest of the world, which sat idly by and refused to help, will not join the party.

Yes, Trump will want some boom-boom in the next couple of weeks.

Some of you don't like the idea of this, and are disgusted, but this is what you should think of while it is happening: money being sent back home, a bigger Social Security check, no more inflation, no more national debt.

He will be a hugely consequential president.

And how exactly do you envisage the US "taking over" the Iranian oil fields? Just run through the logistics of that for us.

"sat idly by and refused to help" I am sure they did not want to

I find it quite astonishing how much credit his supporters give the man. They truly believe he's a genius, and a master strategist and they talk about things like 4D chess. When in reality he's a bumbling fool, without a plan, following the lead of his genocidal friend Netanyahu, whom he simply couldn't say no to. Nobody knows where this war is going to lead, but the possibility of the US taking over the Iranian oil supply is considerably less than zero.

And I would put the possibility of regime change at well under 10%. I would further put the possibility of Trump withdrawing, without having accomplished anything productive, at about 70%.

Lastly I would put the possibility of Trump getting completely whomped in the midterms at 60%, and I would put the possibility of him resigning in 2027 at 30%.

Great Britain controlled the Iranian oil fields in the early 1900s, and made a great deal of profit.

Yep, and the world hasn't changed one bit!😂

Great image, btw, with the pedo rapist placed between two kathoeys, and watched over by a pimp, as he empties his account to prevent them from going to the police with the 'kompromat'.thumbsup

This is what is considered political insight by the DailyKOS left.

Not quite. A private citizen, William D-Arcy, received a concession to explore and develop Iran's southern oil fields. The British government in 1914 purchased a majority stock in the Anglo-Persian Oil Company not until 1914, because it needed the oil for the Royal Navy. The money didn't really start flowing until the 1930s. APOC became BP, and made money, so did Iran.

So, what you are proposing, if Great Britain is your model, is for American corporations approach an Iranian government, seeking oil concessions, somehow avoid being thrown in prison for funding terrorism and dealing with a sanctioned state lead by madmen, operate a bit, then the US suddenly become a communist nation, and a believe in state owned enterprises, nationalise these American companies, to derive benefit. Presumably you wouldn't want WW3 or WW4 as the reasons the US government takes over private enterprise.

And your labeled image, erroneously called an infographic, seems to portray the American people as sex workers, providing services to the US government, which presumably fits with your 21st Century Vision of communism of everyone working for the government.

An alternative AI generated imaging (Prompt: "Create a satirical cartoon criticising US takeover of Iranian oil fields, in the style of a 19th century satirist") showing the take over of Iranian oil by the US. The Uncle Sam image could easily be subsistuted by a Russian Bear, John Bull, the Kaiser or a Gallic Rooster.

It's the Iranians bombing other Muslim nations electricity and desalination assets.

And how well did that work out? That led to a PM who tried to nationalize the oil industry due to the UK giving Iran such paltry percent of the profits, and that in turn led to a CIA sponsored takeover of Iran, via the Shah. More failed US policy.

It's hard to know where to being with this foolishness. At the height of its production back in 1976 Iran produces 6.6 million barrels a day. Over a year that would come to about about 2.4 billion barrels. Let's do a probable overestimate and say that each barrel would fetch $100. But let's reduce that to $90 to account for the lowball estimate of cost of extraction. So net income would come to about $217 billion. But it won't be the United States doing the extracting it will be private oil companies doing the work. So presumably, they're going to get a hefty cut of that. But even if the US were to earn the $217 billion, how are would that go? Trump just pushed for huge raise to military spending. About $450 billion offset only by $73 billion in domestic spending cuts. In other words, you would have to be arithmetically clueless to believe that this would even come close to solving America's financial problems.
