It's time for a New List of Favourite Restaurants in Phuket,

Featured Replies

I think it's time we started a new list.

Over the past couple of years there have been a lot of changes—new places opening, others going downhill, and prices all over the place depending on where you go.

Post your current favourites below.

👉 Please include:

  • A couple of photos

  • Exact location (Google Maps or area)

  • What you ordered / why it’s worth going

One that’s always stayed consistent for us is Raya.

The Moo Hong there is superb—rich, tender, proper flavour, and hasn’t changed over the years which is rare lately.

Still touristy, but credit where it’s due, they do it right.

Location: Phuket Old Town (Dibuk Rd)

Anyone found a better Moo Hong elsewhere on the island?

My Front Yard Community Mall on Chao Fa West Road in Chalong is fast emerging as one of Phuket's most welcoming lifestyle centers. This boutique community mall provides a warm environment where locals, visitors, and families can congregate, relax, and savour the small joys of island life thanks to its open-air concept, pet-friendly policy, and contemporary tropical décor.

We have been to the Indian place a couple of times well worth a visit, comfortable nicely designed, nice staff and good service,

Cafe BAAN Mai & Restaurant (Rawai)

Well worth a visit if you’re down this end of the island.

Nice setting, more of a relaxed/local feel compared to some of the busier places. Food’s been consistently good, and prices still reasonable for what you get.

Good option if you want somewhere a bit quieter without sacrificing quality.

Here is he FB page, We go there once a week, you get huge portions, she doesn't open till 11 am, so dont go to early,

You on diet?

Not really, that bowl of gpao is pretty deep. Although American (stereotype being fat) one plate of food for lunch is typically all I need. All of us aren't hugely overweight, just like all of us did not vote for the current regime.

Here you are on a world class beach island and you are pulling up to eat in a mall? Other than flat out location convenience, it strikes me as odd.

I'll take a bottle of Johnnie black + cart service, Thai and seafood at Kan Eang 2, hugely before some Central Mall nonsense. Seaview, whiskey sodas.....prawns.....now thats livin.

Here's a place in Phuket Town it's superb, It's quite a big place with loads of parking, and it opens about 11 am I think they class it as a Stake and Noodles restaurant, Real good value for money, during the day I see most people ordering big bowls of noodles, here is their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61570376261125

Here is the photo's page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61570376261125&sk=photos

Normal prices start at 70 baht for a bowl of noodles, last Sunday I had fish and chips, not the best fish and chips but it was only 180 baht and I got loads,

BARTELS Rawai - Sourdough Sandwiches, Coffee,

On the way to Nai Harn beach opposite to Wine connection Ive been the twice had a Pulled Pork Sandwich pretty good, I just noticed on their web site it closes at 6 pm, Both time I went was in the mornings,

I'm very happy with an Italian restaurant in the Nai Harn area : Nibe Authentic Italian Aroma - Rawai

It opened a couple of years ago by a young Italian chef and his pastry chef partner.

They offer traditional Italian dishes as well as dishes with a touch of originality and refinement.

I especially love the glazed lamb shank and the Iberian pork cheek and the desserts are exceptional.

The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the prices are fair.

I always leave feeling more than satisfied.

Mama Pans Thai food, Rawai.

As you turn left off Soi Sai Yuan toward Nai Harn Beach, on the left about fifty meters down. It is set off the road behind a motorbike stand (easy to miss) so dirt and dust from the road not a factor. Red sign on the road.

Family owned and operated, excellent Thai food, fair prices.
