Thaivisa Football Team No More

Hi George

Thank you for your support for all this years on the Football Team . Would like to inform you that there is no more Sunbelt Asia Untied Fc. All the players have sign up with other teams and no players are now associated with the Sunbelt Asia Fc.

Its up to you to take out the Sunbelt Fc forum .

Regards

Tytus

Sorry guys, do we have any takers to start a new team, or am I just dreaming?

Come on now!

Guess the question should be asked, why did all our players jump ship??? :o

How about trying to start a thaivisa team from every province or area forum made up from the members, playing against a local team (school, university or something) everytime you visit. Maybe some of the influential farang in these areas can organize something. Although I won't be back until january.

Just a thought, it might be good publicity.

John......

I thought it was Sunbelt's team, not thaivisa's. Also, the players didn't jump ship, but Sunbelt pulled sponsorship.

I was suggesting a TV team from local areas on an occasional basis. Nothing proffesional, just a fun get together, perhaps for charity.

Just throwing suggestions out here, no need for criticism. Perhaps it could help the local thai team/teams in publicity..

John.....

Who's criticizing who? I was not responding to your post, but to britmaveric and the original post.

Why not try and start a "real" footy team.. The ThaiVisa Aussie rules club.. Or as suggested, start up province verses province. Chiangmai would kick everyones <deleted> all the way back to their native homes.

Just a thought. :o:D

My apologies.

I got ahead of myself then. :o

This is true. The Casual league is splitting into 2 this year. So Sunbelt didnt want to sponsor a2nd Division team. Also i believ that Tytus has now moved onto something else. I had the chance tpo play for them last year in the Global Airline Soccer Nines. Which we won. This was the first cup the team won. I also got to know many of the players and most were decent lads. So good luck to them. BTW if anyone wants to start a team then you better be quick as the laegue starts again in just over a month. check out somtam. com

More info here, including the full explanation from Sunbelt.

Why not set up a Thaivisa.com Veteran football team and play in the monthly Bangkok Veteran Football league for 35 years and above.

Its fun lots of free beers too
