NASA triumphs - as the USA fails . . .

Featured Replies

Watching the return of Artemis 2 is very moving - the safety of 4 brave humans now assured after 9 exciting days. So emotional but what a contrast to Trump's USA and Netanyahu's israel indiscriminate murder of innocent people in Iran and now Lebanon.

Perhaps Trump, his Cabinet and Trumpsters generally, might ponder the madness ? With a few exceptions, every life is equally important.

As for the 'ceasefire', it's not reassuring to see VP Vance heading for negotiations in Pakistan that seem to be doomed from the start - Israel is refusing to stop bombing Lebanon.

Heartbreaking for us to watch but life ending for so very many around the Middle East and the Gulf !

Didn't watch it, don't care if they live or die.

Not my country, not my blood relatives, so not my business.

What he said, and I am a Yank. Real or AI. Either, a waste of tax dollars, as all space 'exploration' is. Fix existing here before wasting money on places we'll never go.

For the OP, ending wars would be easy, but nobody cares to, as way too profitable.

@TorquayFan

When are people going to care about the 1000 or so kids under 5 that die everyday from not having clean drinking water or sanitation. That's easily fixable, but not profitable.

Let that sink in.

So space flights are going to become "Ho Hum." Actually they are "Ho Hum" as it is. Nice DEI crew mix. Really - I don't care.

Khun L A - weird posting - that's a completely different subject - get it ?

Oh contraire, perfect post considering your OP, comparison of concern for 4 lives vs death count of M.E. conflict.

Which is miniscule, compared to 1000+ a day of under 5 yr kids, everyday, for past decades and in the future. Sadly that 1000 a day is an improvement over past decades. And that's just the <5 yr olds. Haven't even mentioned starving people yet.

Why is that not a daily headline, until they get something as simply as clean water.

Khun L A you miss the point ! As I already posted, "With a few exceptions, every life is equally important". Of course that would certainly include all people of all ages dying unnecessarily from the lack of clean water or food.

The topical contrast noticed is between the attention given to the important lives of Astronauts, (and say a missing U.S. Pilot), and the 250+ murdered by Israelis in Lebanon the other day.

You carp for the sake of it . . .
