Authorities in Khanh Hoa Province are investigating 20 foreign nationals in Nha Trang for allegedly conducting unlicensed business activities and violating visa terms. The inspection took place at the Princess store, operated by Global Trading Co. Ltd, on Le Hong Phong Street, where the individuals were found working in various departments.

The initial investigation, conducted by a joint task force with the provincial Department of Home Affairs, identified potential breaches of business permit regulations. Cross-referencing with police databases suggested that the workers were employed without the necessary permissions.

Officials noted that the employment activities of these individuals seemingly contravened the purposes outlined on their visas and temporary residence cards. Police have directed the legal representatives of both Global Trading and Green Travel Group Co. Ltd, the latter responsible for bringing these foreigners to Vietnam, to halt the employment pending further inquiries.

The probe continues as authorities work to handle the case according to Vietnamese law. The nationalities of those involved have not been disclosed, which adds a layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation.

The incident highlights legal compliance issues concerning employment of foreign nationals, emphasizing the need for businesses to adhere strictly to visa regulations.

Authorities are expected to complete the investigation soon, determining the appropriate legal actions. Companies involved are urged to review their compliance practices to avoid similar issues in the future.
