The Fraud Task Force greatest task, exposing Corruption,News

A damning new Oversight Committee report alleges that Minnesota Gov. Walz and AG Ellison knew about billions in federal benefit fraud ,including massive losses in Medicaid, child care, and nutrition programs , much earlier than they publicly admitted, yet repeatedly failed to act despite multiple warnings and whistleblower alerts.

The panel highlighted cases like the Feeding Our Future scandal, where officials backed off fraud concerns in 2020 after racial discrimination lawsuit threats, allowing payments to continue for nearly two more years and contributing to an estimated $300M loss there alone (with up to $9 billion potentially at risk in Medicaid since 2018).

Whistleblowers faced retaliation, senior officials claimed ignorance or poor recall, and the state continued loose oversight, drawing sharp criticism from Chairman Comer as one of the worst failures examined.

When they started ignoring the fraud, warnings and issues predated Walz, but the report and related probes point to inaction from the beginning of his being Governor, in early 2019.

A March 2019 legislative auditor report on child care fraud came right after he took office, yet little changed, problems exploded during the 2020 COVID expansions ( Feeding Our Future), with senior level warnings elevated but corrective action delayed or avoided for years afterward.

Comer looks for the Fraud task force to review the findings in what many say is the largest welfare fraud scheme in US history.

“Billions of dollars were stolen because Minnesota state leaders turned a blind eye to rampant fraud and retaliated against state employees who dared to raise concerns,” he added. “It is now clear the Walz Administration chose to protect the system rather than protect the taxpayer.”

The story is based on a NYP & Oversite Committee report

False.

The claim is misleading and oversimplified. It mixes real fraud cases with unsupported leaps about who knew what, when, and failed to act.

I suggest running your claims through Artificial Intelligence to weed out Natural Stupidity of partisan political stooges.
