US-Iran Breakthrough: The Six Major Points Agreed To Halt Conflict

US-Iran Deal Sets Out Path To Ending Four-Month Conflict

The United States and Iran have agreed on a framework aimed at ending nearly four months of conflict, with both sides outlining six major commitments covering everything from nuclear dismantlement to reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

Ceasefire To Cover All Fronts, Including Lebanon

The first element of the agreement requires an immediate halt to military operations across all active fronts, including Lebanon. The inclusion of Lebanese territory marks a significant shift after previous efforts to keep Hezbollah-related fighting outside any broader settlement.

US To End Naval Blockade Of Iranian Ports

Under the second commitment, Washington has agreed to lift its naval blockade of Iranian ports. The move is designed to restore commercial activity and ease economic pressure on Tehran as part of the wider peace framework.

Strait Of Hormuz To Reopen Without Restrictions

A third provision guarantees the unrestricted passage of commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. President Donald Trump hailed the measure as a victory for global trade, declaring that ships could once again move freely through one of the world's most important energy corridors.

Technical Talks To Begin This Week

The fourth point calls for immediate technical negotiations between American and Iranian officials. These discussions are intended to resolve practical questions surrounding implementation and lay the groundwork for a more detailed treaty.

Nuclear Programme Faces Dismantlement

The fifth commitment centres on Iran's nuclear programme. The framework states that Tehran must move toward dismantling its nuclear infrastructure as part of a long-term settlement designed to reduce regional tensions.

Enriched Uranium To Be Destroyed Under Verification System

The sixth and most sensitive provision requires Iran's highly enriched uranium stockpile to be destroyed under a verification mechanism agreed by both sides. US officials say the arrangement is intended to ensure the material cannot be used for future weapons development.

Pakistan Played Key Role In Securing Breakthrough

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who acted as a key mediator throughout the negotiations, confirmed that a formal signing ceremony is scheduled to take place in Switzerland on June 19. Despite a last-minute flare-up involving an Israeli strike on Hezbollah targets in Beirut, diplomats managed to keep the agreement on track.

Major Obstacles Still Remain

While both sides are presenting the memorandum as a breakthrough, significant disagreements remain. Iranian officials insist sanctions relief, the lifting of the blockade and the release of frozen assets must come before any major nuclear concessions are implemented. The agreement also opens a 60-day negotiating window during which a legally binding peace treaty must still be drafted and approved.

In other words nothing new IMHO. need to get certain benefits, then will begin a 60-day negotiating period in which they hope to iron out specific differences, most of which I have seen the Iranians insist each time (38 times so far) that certain of the differences remain that will not be changed. IMHO Obama had a much better deal than this that Trump scrapped and I sure don't see how he can claim he won. The Iranians sit in a better spot today that before Trump bombed them IMHO.

So it approaches, maybe, possibly---but does not surpass---what Obama achieved in 2015 with the 100% effective JCPOA.

Well, even that remains to be seen, as Netanyahu can toss a wrench into the works, and Iran has not fully agreed to dilute its U235. Also, Friday is almost an eternity, so much can happen between today and then.

Here's something that few would have considered possible just a few months ago: Iran has gained sympathy in the world community, whether that is right or wrong. It has happened. I would have thought that would have been tougher to do than to award Jeffrey Dahmer a Michelin Star.

The entire war was driven by Trump's woeful insecurity and his obsession with Barack Obama and the joke Obama made about Trump back at the WHCD a decade or more ago. Obama lives in a sprawling mansion, much better than the tacky and garish Mar-a-Lago, in Trump's demented head. Heck, Obama's spread probably has a golf course better than Augusta National or Pebble Beach.

Trump tossed the highly effective JCPOA only because it was an Obama achievement. The deaths, destruction, pain and suffering, worldwide inflation, and loss of US allies, friends and respect is due solely to Trump's obsession with "getting back" at Obama.

Somewhere, James Buchanan is smiling.

According to the Iranians this is the Trumpsters deal for a war he started The man is the business genius you voted for 🤔

Iranian Mehr News Agency has published the 14 clauses of the MOU.

$12 billion of Iran's frozen funds to be released before negotiations begin, with another $12 billion during the 60-day final negotiation window.

The U.S. and allies must also present reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300 billion reparations for the war imposed on Iran.

Reduction of American soldiers presence in the region.

Oil and petrochemical sanctions on Iran permanently suspended.

Full American naval blockade to be lifted within 30 days.

The U.S. commits to non-interference in Iranian affairs, withdrawal of forces from around Iran, and no new sanctions or force deployments.

An immediate ceasefire is required on all fronts, including Lebanon.

The Strait of Hormuz reopens within 30 days under new Iranian arrangements, not like completely free like pre war situation.

Iran reaffirms its NPT commitment not to produce nuclear weapons. A 60-day window is set to negotiate a final deal covering nuclear issues.

No restrictions on Iran's missile program and support for resistance groups.

No final negotiations begin until the $12 billion is released, oil sanctions are suspended, and the blockade is lifted.

A supervisory mechanism will oversee implementation, with any final agreement approved by UN Security Council resolution.

Any Israeli aggression against Hamas, Houthis & Hezbollah give full rights to retaliate to Iran.

Iran will not handover enriched uranium to any country or will destroy it but how it will be handled by Iran will be decided in future talk.

As per you, who is the winner after reading these conditions of the ceasefire ?

I wonder what the other aggressor has to say about this?

I guess we’ll find out shortly, perhaps in actions rather than words.

Where's Bibi?.jpeg

Iran wins! Thanks you, Bibi! Thank you, Donnie!

Israel jumped ship two weeks into the war, likely Bibi's plan all along. Let the US spend the money, do the work, lose the men and hardware, take the flak, and finish the job.

The clause that any retaliation on Hamas, Houthis, Hezbollah gives Iran carte blanche to attack Israel, Iran is not Lebanon. No pushover.

Bibi won himself a war with a serious player.
