Bangkok Man Drives SUV Into University Pool After Family Argument

Featured Replies

A Thai man drove an SUV into a swimming pool at Chulalongkorn University following an alleged disagreement with his mother over money. Police found the white vehicle partially submerged outside the Sasapol Building on the Bangkok campus, with several doors open and damage to its front. Local reports claimed the man had asked his mother to help cover the monthly rent for his condominium, which reportedly cost 27,000 baht. She allegedly refused to contribute, leading to an argument before the unusual driving incident. Authorities were called to examine the scene and determine the circumstances surrounding his actions.

Another case of a 7 year old driving.

yeah, very mature.

how about ... downsize if you can't afford it?

no one needs to live in a 27K luxury condo.

There was a story that Keith Moon did the same thing, but rock star style. Supposedly in was a new Bentley (or Rolls?) and it was at a posh Los Angeles hotel. I remember the story being recounted at one of his divorce hearings.

Typical behaviour of a student at one of Thailaad's top niversities?

As the Thais say, "Look khon rooay", with a fatalistic shrug of the shoulders and a roll of the eyes.

And in the unlikely event he owned the car outright, he won’t get much for it now if he sold to pay his own rent.

Look man, please don't brag that you're a crypto millionaire.

It's a lot more than the average Thai person pays for rent.

Never bought any crypto in my life.

Sometimes when you've just had enough, you've just had enough.
