Now the Dust has settled.

So as the title suggests, now that the dust has settled will the labourites on here like to discuss the reason why after winning with a record votes why was Starmer removed from his post. Was he booted out or thrown under the bus by his own Cabinet ? and why was our new PM given the job when he wasn;t even an MP 5 weeks prior to taking the top job.

Huge mistake re: winter fuel...schoolboy error, struggled to communicate effectively.

Thrown under the bus and booted out....not too sure what the difference is? But yes.

You do know he was a time served, experienced MP, minister and Secretary of State?

  • Home Office: Parliamentary Under‑Secretary (2005–2006).

  • Health Department: Minister of State for Delivery and Quality (2006–2007).

  • Treasury: Chief Secretary (2007–2008).

  • Culture, Media & Sport: Secretary of State (2008–2009).

  • Health Secretary: (2009–2010) — focused on social care reform, though his “death tax” proposal was blocked by Conservatives.

The country chooses the Party, the Party chooses its leader.
