Kelana Jaya LRT delays after Putra Heights power fault

Commuters on Kuala Lumpur’s Kelana Jaya LRT Line faced delays on Wednesday morning after a suspected power-supply component fault near Putra Heights, Rapid KL said.

Manual operation at Putra Heights

Trains at Putra Heights were switched to manual operation as a precaution while technicians checked the suspected fault. Rapid KL said train movements at nearby stations were also slower than usual, extending passenger waiting times across part of the line.

The operator said its technical team was working to identify and rectify the problem. Auxiliary police and other staff were deployed at affected stations to assist commuters and provide updates.

Allow extra time

Passengers were advised to follow Rapid KL’s official social-media channels and the MyRapid Pulse app for the latest service information. For workers, visitors and travellers relying on the line, allowing extra time and considering an alternative route may be sensible while services return to normal.

Rapid KL has not yet given a firm timetable for full restoration, but said it would continue issuing updates as work progressed.
