Trump Says He’s Happy Harry And Meghan Left US

Featured Replies

US President Donald Trump said he was pleased that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have returned to Britain, adding that he was not a fan of the couple when they were in the United States.

Asked about their departure a week earlier from the US during a September 2 briefing with reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said: “I’m happy about it.” He later said he did not support Harry and Meghan’s actions and characterised them as having been disrespectful towards the royal family.

Trump’s comments came after the couple left the United States following a six-year stay in Montecito, California.

Megxit And Departure From Royal Duties

Harry and Meghan moved to the US from the United Kingdom in early 2020 as tensions with members of the royal family increased.

Their exit from royal duties was widely described as “Megxit” after they announced on Instagram that they would “step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent”. On the day of their 2018 wedding, Queen Elizabeth II granted them the titles Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

During their years stateside, the couple said they faced what they described as institutional neglect and a lack of support within the royal establishment. They also spoke about internal conflicts within the family, including in an interview with Oprah Winfrey and in Harry’s memoir, Spare.

Trump Criticises What He Calls Disrespect

Trump said he disliked how he believed the couple treated the institution. “I thought they treated the royal family with great disrespect,” he said.

He added: “I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the way she acted. I thought she was terribly disrespectful to the queen, to King Charles.”

Harry and Meghan’s public comments about their time in royal life and the decision to step back drew global attention and intensified questions about their relationship with other senior royals.

Children Meet The Queen, Then School In Britain

Harry and Meghan’s children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, met Queen Elizabeth during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022. The Queen died a few months later, in September.

British media reported that the children have since enrolled in schools in the UK.

Trump also referred to meetings involving the royal couple and King Charles. He said that when Charles and Queen Camilla visited the United States for a four-day state visit hosted by Trump in April, Harry and Meghan did not meet with them. When the Sussexes travelled to Britain in July, however, they met King Charles and Camilla.

“Maybe I’m different,” Trump said. “I wouldn’t have taken him back. If I were the royal family, I would not have taken him back.”

Well said Donald. Well said.

But please keep the door open in case they wish to return.

Trump has shown tremendous disrespect to the Royal family in the past. One example is when King Charles and the queen were moving along a row of guests and trump just butted in ahead of them and continued along the row shaking hands. The King had to stop to let him through. Absolutely disgusting but typical of attention grabbing trump.

I am sure most Americans including Trump are happy they have left.

Most Brits are also unhappy they have returned?😅

That's the first thing Trump has said in a long time that I fully and totally agree with.

Trump is an idiot, U.S. educated. Harry and Meghan say "seen enough, this guy makes President"?" Need to get our kids educated elsewhere. U.S. population elected this guy"? Out.

Good for them.

What he didn.t say was that he was happy that they went back on their own accord because ICE was about to deport them because Harry told lies on his visa application about his drug use and that saved embarasment for the King.

Does any opinion by this absolute imbecile clown mean anything these days? I guess his devoted followers are still hanging on every word but for the vast majority of America and the vast majority of the world one day cannot go by without this circus clown saying something incredibly stupid, ignorant, hateful and pestilent.

That's true, generally speaking.

However, his take on these two grifters was spot on.

Give the devil his due. Even a monkey playing with a typewriter will eventually come up with a bon mot.

I suspect most truly don't give a shiite.

It will certainly elevate the quality of Netflix shows.

I hope. Because that's a dire need right there.

Most Americans would be even happier to see Trump leave the white house (for good).

Then why did 251 of the 260 Republican candidates that he endorsed win their primaries?

That's according to Bill Maher, who still managed to call Trump a Richard with a capital D while correcting himself as he promised after Trump called him out for his error.

My biggest takeaway from his correction is that someone who is as tapped in as Maher is thought that Trump candidates were losing left and right. We can't hate the MSM enough. Sorry lying sacks of crap.

The title to his YouTube is: Bill Admits He Was VERY Wrong on Trump Stats

Look it up... Maher went up a notch in my book, willing to admit (publicly) when he's wrong.

No more disgusting than calling oneself a king or queen in our modern world.

There is actually something even more repulsive, at the wedding of the Beckhams they had two thrones built. Imagine the ego of those two. Disgusting.

Trump is delighted to be rid of them and he knows they will cause nothing but trouble in the UK.

Harry was a nasty little tyke, alternately spoiled and neglected by his promiscous mother who didn't have much time for him between her numerous love affairs and glamourous international lifestyle.

He grew up resentful of the Monarchy, feeling instinctively that he wasn't a part of it, yet obliged to play a role.

He got back at the Royals as soon as he could by making the worst mésalliance of recent history, if not of the dynasty itself. Surpassing even Edward VIII. Wallis Simpson, for all her faults, at least didn't have the potential to muddy the Windsor gene pool.

Most people do nowadays. They see how the great usa has slipped into corruption, oligarchy, checks and balance-free, violence, division, incompetence, anti-ally nonsense. Look at the European countries with royal families and you see the opposite. Hehehe
