If you send a text message that is longer than 160 alphanumeric characters (meaning a -z and numerals), then the long message will be concanated together to form however messages are needed to send it. So it should arrive correctly. If the message uses non-alpha characters, such as Thai language characters, then each message can only contain about 70 such characters.

You can open an account with a company such as bulksms.com to send such messages from your computer. (I use this company to sms messages in Burmese and English to mobile phones on the mobile networks in Myanmar)
