a us/french dual citizen asked me the following question and i didn't know what to answer

what if someone had 2 nationalities/passports... could they just switch passports every 3 months and get visa on arrival and/or 60 day visas + extensions on alternate passports every 3 months.... anyone have any experience or info about this?

Sure.. Just have to do it at airport visa runs as they dont let you flip passports at land borders. .They like to see the visa stamp from the country you just came from (or thats how they were with me)..

I find they dont even track dual passports of same nationality.. I flip mine on visa runs to sing and back and they have never shown any awareness.

I thought that the basis of the time / stamps that you are allowed is based on a PERSON entering a country and not based on a PASSPORT entering a country.

I hope they catch you and deport you.

Why do these people always try to find the WRONG way to do things. I hope it does not work for you.

You give legit visitors a bad name.

Don't be bitter because you don't have two passports. :o

I don't need 2 passports. I can manage myself legally with just the one.

No wonder the Thai Government is cracking down with people like you on their streets.

Why cant you just do it the legal way ? You must have something really bad to hide if you need to keep switching passports at a point of immigration.

I see on one of your last posts http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?sh...p;#entry1531624

you were asking people if you would get a stamp if your "tourist visa" was refused. Another one about enrolling just "one more person" in an obvious Pyramid scam !

Red lights must be flashing in your area lol.

Have fun.

Maybe I'm lucky but I flip mine a Sadao land border crossing, never a problem.

Surely Immigration will look at the timing of the stamps .

Also airlines are increasingly requesting the passport details & checking them when you check-in.

Not recently ,but in the past Immigration have checked my passport against my flight ticket/TM card .

I agree with Emptymind, sooner or later someone will ask questions ?

Thanks for the vote of solidarity.. The fact that no where on any of the forms is there any way for me to declare my 2 passports, my second passport number, or my previous amount of days incountry is my fault then ??

OK but so what..

They are the ones who must implement the visa control.. I dont lie.. I dont do anything illegal.. I present my passport and try to come into Thailand.

Its up to them to implement a tight control system. Its not up to me to be aware of every tiny changing rule for every contry in the world. If I am not entitled to come in then customs should stop me.

Anyway I am on non imm O's but I need to flip them as I use one for one year and the other for the next.. I also flip them to try to balance page use etc.
