I have some questions about the 30 year registered leases that are so popular.

If a have registered lease for a condo can the owner sell the condo to a third party but 3rd party has to honor the lease? Or property cannot be transferred if there is a registered lease?

How are these leases obtained? Standard form at land office or must they be drawn up by lawyer?

and what are conditions for eviction and lease cancellation?--standard or can be specified oin agreement?

thanks

Why not buy it and forget the problems?

Indeed.

You can buy a condo in your own name, why lease?.

At the end of your lease you have paid plenty and own nothing, at least with ownership you can recoup if you change plans.
