A couple of days ago I was given two "V.A.M.P." capsules by a Thai man who told me they would give me better health and "make me feel younger" and give me more 'strength.' and I should take two daily. He stressed that they were nothing like Viagra, but would improve my sex life. He said they are quite expensive to buy and difficult to obtain as they come from China.

I Googled and found no information except, except on a Thai on- line shopping web site that had them for sale.

Has anyone heard of these tablets, and what exactly do they do?

I'm intrigued.

I hope you noted that cardiovascular disease was a contraindication.

Even without that info, given the number of long-term meds you are on I would caution against taking anything else you don't absolutely have to. Too little is known about all the possible drug interactions.

Many people assume that herbal treatments are safe and free of interactions. This is simply not true. Whether a chemical compound grew naturally, was ground up from some poor animal's organs, or was made in a laboratory, it is still a chemical compound. There have been many serious problems due to interactions between "natural" remedies and other drugs (St Johns Wort being perhaps the best known...among other things, can block the effectiveness of birth control pills).

For people not on any regular medications, trying out an herbal or other alternative type medication is usually fine, but that's not you, my friend...

Yes I did, and it is why they are still sitting on my desk wondering who is going to swallow them.

It's also the reason I have never tried Viagra - not that I need it

About 9 months ago my blood tests revealed low - ish testosterone levels, which is undoubtedly the result of ageing, and also all the meds I have been on for years.

Anyhow, my specialist put me on regime of testosterone shots every 2- 3 weeks, and that seems to do the trick, without any side effects, except the desired one.

Anyone want to try my Vamps?

Have been using V.A.M.P. recently as I had some erectyl disfunction problems when I quit smoking.... so one healthy decision causing another problem my girlfriend did not like.

Got VAMP from a pharmacy in Chonburi, tried it with three and then got result like Viagra - including hot head from higher blood pressure. Now I use 1 capsule only when I think I might have too much stress and I must say I am very much happy with the results!

What I am now looking for is an online pharmacy where I could buy it.

by the way: yes, they claim FDA approval on the package of the product and include the FDA number.

Sorry Dan - I never tried them - they are still sitting in my medicine cabinet, after I read Sheryl's advice on this.

There is a Thai website that sells them on-line, but I guess that's not much use to you in Switzerland.
