Dear forum members,

I am thinking to self drive from singapore to phuket with few friends, but have never drive in before. I am ok in Malaysia side as it is straighforward to use NSH, but need more advice in Thailand.

Please advice me which highways to use from border to Phuket, distance, towns and road junctions, safety precautions and other advices. Also are the all good highways?

If there are other special interests that i should look at, pls advice me too both in Phuket and on the way there.

When u come in at Sadao, u will be on highway 4. That will take u just about all the way to Phuket. There are plenty of signs & the roads are good. Take care between Phattalung & Trang - windy road.

Had yai has a good tourist bureau with free maps and good info to suit your interests.

Did you look in the Southern Thailand forum, at the top it has some "pinned' fotos & maps
