Going on 15 Jan with a group of people. But just was told/recommended that it's not a good time to go because of all the construction going on. Any truth to this and what is your take on it?

There is some construction, not as much as we sometimes make out. Depends where your staying, if your staying in the Center of Chaweng, Lamai or Maenam should be ok.

Ofter the Monsoon rains alot of construction will start up as they have been hanging out to start or finish projects.

Doesn`t really matter when you come as Samui has plenty of construction all year round.

You`ve chosen a good time weather wise as the rain should all be finished by then .

I think its down towards the ARK BAR not sure, but heard it was cheap and not that good.

Ark Bar on the beach is a happening place and a blast all day, lots of restaurants on the beach down that way.

Noooo construction there, well i dont think so, some one will have to go look for you, cause you never know these days.

For you I think there is no problems regarding to construction noice. Around this resort there is no construction and you will for sure have a quiet stay. And the monsun have stopped, the sun will wisch yoy a pleasent stay

I wouldn't say that, Have you been to Mumbai?

And its an Island atmosphere, some parts are very beautiful.

Once the money stays on the Island ( and hopefully that will be very soon) then it will ony get better.

Low end but not bad, two dorms and some bungalows, (try to get bungalow #81 , it's almost on the beach),

Good location, not far from Soi Mango,
