The rental agency is not likely to approve the use of their car in Cambodia - you must consult them or you are likely to have all kinds of problems.

I think your best bet would be to get to Cambodia first then hire whilst your there. I would imagine allsorts of difficulties with insurance not to mention the notoriously pickiy Thai / Cambodian customs who seem to make the rules up as they go along to suit their own ends !!

in a car ? i doubt they will allow it, roads can be intesting !. im off today for a bike ride down there for 8 days, thats the way to go,.

you are right, unless the renter is with you they wont let you out of thailand, needs to be in the drivers name, thats what happened when friends rented bikes to go down anyway,.
