Last week i mounted a anti-sway system on my vigo.

Feels much better when turning left or right.

Before i had a bar but wasn't really satisfied with it.

As far as i know only the Ford Ranger and Mazda BT-50 are equipped with similar systems.

Who has got one?

Might I ask where one could be bought and fitted? Cost?

This system costed 6000 Baht.

There are also cheaper models availible but this one was the most solid of all.

Prices start from 2500 Baht and up.

Can be bought i think in all the bigger tyre/wheel shops.

Might sound like a stupid question, but what exactly does it do?

Nope, not a stupid question. An anti-rollbar or anti-sway in the US is basically a system comprising a transverse torsion bar that limits the amount a vehicle will lean or roll when cornering. If a car only has one system it will be on the front, normally. Fitting one to the rear is going to help general roadholding and will make the handling more "neutral" by countering any tendancy towards oversteer.

perfectly put mick. just what i was thinking as i read the thread.

Thanks LL but unfortunately my mis-spelling of "tendency" demotes it to imperfection. Sigh... :o

Ok Jareddiving, so are you still happy with your anti-roll system? Is it worth B6000? I'm quite interested in one of these, I have to admit. Anything that makes driving a pickup has to be worth a punt. I mean, I haven't owned a car with a live rear axle and leaf springs since the 70's! I'd be interested in your feedback. :o
