Fireworks a plenty here at midnight

However a few Thai in the corner are still discussing the belief in certain quarters that all Thai schoolkids go to school by elephant :o

Really, at midnight on new years eve? i thought the schools were on holiday

(i wish there was a "looking under the bridge" smily :D )

It's going to be a typical year. The neighbors are gone for New Years, their drunken relatives showed up to check the house, music blaring as loud as possible at 8:30 a.m. (I was up). At 10:00 a.m. they are sound asleep in the yard, so it was my turn to clean the driveway, with music blaring. I think it was the same situation last year!

Predictability, you've got to love it!
