Hi everyone, this is my second thread. Thankyou to Mr khan firstly for helping me clear up my first thread. Ok, now I am aware that it is best to supply last 2 years of accounts if self-employed. I was thinking would it be okay to supply my last 3 months worth of accounts and my last 2 years tax returns with the VISA application. And state if they want to see the last 2 years worth of accounts they can do and that my wife would fetch them along with her when she goes for her VISA interview. Just they are 2 large folders and I wouldnt want them getting lost in a busy office.

My second question is about having my passport certified. I am aware already that every page needs to be photocopied showing my entries to Thailand. But what does having my passport certifiying mean? Is this something I have to do before leaving the UK or can be done in Thailand? And is it really essential?

There's no need to supply all of your accounts for the past two years, rather just the summary which your accountant should have prepared for you. The last two years' income tax returns will also be helpful.

There is no absolute requirement to have your passport certified, but if you choose to do so, it involves having copies of each page stamped as being a true copy by a professionally reputable person. If you go to a solicitor they will probably charge for this service.

Scouse.

If you really feel happier doing it then pop into any solicitor/commissioner of oaths. When I needed to have a passport certified for a different reason I walked into a solicitors office and they charged me £5 to verify every page (even the blank ones)

They charged me too!! but after they picked me up off the floor, they let me off the blank pages.

Sorry Moss, I was a lot more fortunate but didn't make it clear in words as I meant to say that the cost to verify every page (including the blank ones) was a total of £5. That also included the cost of doing the photocopying.
