February 29, 201214 yr Here's some pics of the "Countdown Party" at The Pae Gate, New Years Eve 2011/12. First of all the moat...... Followed by the normal sight of beautiful girls struggling with a lantern Up, Up and Away Here comes the Fireworks I loved this Christmas Tree, one of the best I've ever seen, and it's made of........ Old CD's !! The Thais are amazing at making beauty from other people's rubbish....... and here's a view of the stage show behind Rudolph....I never thought I would see Rudolph in Chiang Mai.
November 2, 201213 yr Great pictures! Just as a reminder… Loy Kratong and Kham Loy (the illuminated airborne lanterns) will be held in Chiang Mai on 29 November, according to my Thai events calendar. The best palce to view these events is along the Mae Ping river.
