Is There A Limit To How Many Times I Can Receive A 60day Tr Visa?

Featured Replies

Are there any limitations to how many times you can receive a two month tourist visa? If not, then presumably I can come in and out on the 30day one for three times, then get the two months one, then an extention, then 3x30days again, then two months. hassle, but possible?

Thanks.

Yes possible. But you would be a few days short, because the visa would be good for 60+30 days and the visa exempt entries would be good for only 88 days if done back to back. This would not add up to 6 months.

There is no hard and fast rule as to how many visas you can get. Some embassies (Penang) are cracking down on it and may only give you one or two before they will deny you. Vientiane seems to be the best bet these days. Also if you get the visa in your home country, it would be easier than in the local area.

i had a question along the same line of re-applying for another double entry TR visa after i go through my first one. can anyone say if and where they had success in getting a triple or quadruple multi entry TR visa as the Thai website mentions the option of asking for one "2 to 4" multi TR visa. it would be ideal to obtain one for those wishing longterm tourist travel here.

Never seen any reports of people being turned down at Vientiene.

One point though - it's probably better to get consecutive Tourist Visas and save your visa-exempt days for emergencies, ie if you use you 90 visa-exempt days

and then get turned down for a tourist visa you'll be stuck outside Thailand.
