Hi guys

My wife today received her ESOL certificate and letter from the college for her ILR application. Only problem is they have spelt her surname incorrectly, they have put in an extra "a". Will this be a problem when we submit them or will it be okay? Does anyone know?

Thanks

It should be apparent that the certificates are issued in respect of your wife. However, you don't want the Home Office refusing an application on a technicality, so would it be possible for the college to either rectify the mistake or provide an explanatory letter, just to cover yourselves?

Scouse.

Hi scouse

Your right its better not left to chance, I would tear my hair out if they failed it for a spelling mistake :o

I've phoned the teacher and she is going to re-issue the letter and certificate. She said it should only take about a week.

Nice one.
