Is It Possible To Obtain A 1 Year Multiple Entry 'o' Marriage Visa In Aneighbouring Country

Featured Replies

I've just got a 3 month type 'O' marriage visa from Khota Baru, but as my income is partially from the UK and partially from my Thai wife's business I can't meet the requirements of the British Embassy in BKK to get the letter needed for a 1 year extension in Thailand.

Does anyone know if there is a consulate in any neighbouring country that will issue me a one year multiple entry without proof of income?

If not, does anyone know if I can just keep going back to Khota Baru every three months for a new 3 month one?

If your income and your Wifes income total 40,000 Baht a month you qualify for a years extension in Thailand.

1. The extension of stay requirement is 40k family income. If wife can pay tax on enough income to help you meet the requirement it may well be cost effective.

2. Multi entry is available in Singapore if you have 400k in a bank account somewhere.

3. Multi entry may be available in Penang/KL with lower requirements but on a case-by-case basis from reports.

4. Not enough people use/post about that Consulate to make any predictions on continued availability of single entry visas.

I read a couple of weeks ago on the forum that Kota Bahru itself gave multiple entries

themselves . Seems two different reports now .

I was thinking about Kota Bahru as an option for that , but now not so sure .

Op did you ask for a multiple at Kota bahru ?
