Over Bt2m cash stolen from ATM in North

PHITSANULOK: -- A group of 'unidentified stealers' took all cash, worth Bt2.45 million, from an automatic tellers' machine (ATM) located near a university in Thailand's northern province of Phitsanulok.

Local police investigating the scene found no traces of the stealers, according to local journalists.

But they said that the incident appeared to take place on Saturday or Sunday's night.

The ATM booth, belonged to Bank of Ayudhaya, is located in front of a convenient store, 7Eleven, near a front gate of Naresuan University in the province's Muang District.

Police are interrogating staff of the bank who are in charge of refilling cashes for the ATM booth.

Interrogating staff - Yeh right, if you get my drift!!!!!!!

The last big ATM heist was an inside job by the cash re-fillers... and I'd guess this one was too. Can't imagine an ATM being busted into by force while it's located in front of a 24 hour 7/11.

Although......... perhaps an enterprising young person from the university across the street devised a hi-tech method of cleaning out the cash.

Probabally a poor ex BG who was taking out her last 245bt.to buy a litt-le bit of Kai and kao but now finds out/thinks that her "long forgeting far-lang boyfriend" luv her too much more than she think now...never mind:P

that last post is a masterpiece of crap

Thanks and Kop khun........Cr...... :o

Why would any ATM in the north need to carry 2.5 million Baht? It would likely take a year or more to withdraw that whole amount. Seems excessive to me, or an inside job of some sort.

four years ago some untill today unidentified people empty an atm in zurich swiss and earned by using magnet cards nearly 100 000 sfr but none account was in charge for this fraud

maybe some pc freaks here are also clever enough or som expats from swiss????????????????????????
