Need to go just south of the border in May and wondered if there's a train route from Bangkok to that East side of the border? Maybe a bus is the only direct way, but the thought of Air asia via KL doesn't sound like the best way.

Need to go just south of the border in May and wondered if there's a train route from Bangkok to that East side of the border? Maybe a bus is the only direct way, but the thought of Air asia via KL doesn't sound like the best way.

There are train services from Bangkok to southern most borders town of Sugai Golok, even though it is the shortest way to reach the Malaysia East side, I wouldn’t risk my lives and rather choose the safest way around via Kuala Lumpur. Be safe than sorry if you really want the shortest way.
