Hi,

I live in Bangkok, I would like to keep a particular fish in my aquarium, but I dont know it's name.

It is a large fish, red at the front, fading out towards the tail fin. It has several black spots on it's sides and a pronounced hump on it's forehead.

I believe it is a 'Texas Red' crossed with something else. they seem very popular in Thailand.

I need the English name so I can get information about the breed on the internet.

Any help please?

Regards

That's the one. Thank's BambinA.

Some people would consider it an ugly fish, but as we all know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

If anyone has any advice to share about keeping these, I woud be happy to hear it.

I was at JJ Market yesterday, looking at the fish (Fish section is open all week) and they had a few there, but not many.

It would be a good place to start.
