girlx
I heard from someone that it's possible to get an non-imm 'E' visa for taking Thai language classes. Is this true and if so does anyone know all the details? Would love to study for a couple of months in BKK.

girlx
Ok I did a search and read up a bit- seems like Walen School is the best deal, but I dont really want to go live in Bangkok for a year... does anyone know if there is a school on Ko Samui with a similar deal? Phuket? Krabi? Thanks for any info...
5tash
how about chiang mai or chiang rai, i know there's branches of AUA in both of those cities. i know there's no beaches but you have the mountains and cooler climate.
easyman
how about chiang mai or chiang rai, i know there's branches of AUA in both of those cities. i know there's no beaches but you have the mountains and cooler climate. Hello 5tash, You mention there is a oppurtunity to learn Thai in Chiang-Rai. Please can you tell me where, or do they have a website even better. I'm living not to far from Chiang-Rai, and my Thai is not so good. Greetings easyman.

girlx
It doesn't appear they (AUA) teach Thai at all their branches? Does anyone know for sure? Edited April 2, 2008 by girlx
Onnutrd
they said you need to write the email to AUA notifying them that you want tos tudy Thai with them and they'll process a visa letter for you to show the embassy. i did it! However, unfortunately, AUA never actually replied my email in the first place! So i never bothered with them.
jdinasia
It doesn't appear they (AUA) teach Thai at all their branches? Does anyone know for sure? To the best of my knowledge AUA only teaches Thai in the main BKK branch
