Now you say it I can not think of one.

I used to go to "Ed's Diner" in Soho London back in the 80's sometimes and Singapore has made an attempt with "Bomber's" (now gone and downstairs not as good in Bugis Mall) but I can not recall one in Thailand.

There was a "Fat Boy's" franchise start up back circa 99 that did not last long and had branches in Bangkok and Pattaya I remember

Fat Boy's Diner re-opened in Avenue Pattaya about 4 months ago. It's located on the second floor, across from the Major Cineplex ticket counter, and next to BKK Grill.

It's not a retro place but it is over 50 years old and has a good Farang/Chinese/Thai menu.

The Carlton on Silom, near Sala Daeng.

Known for steak, has daily specials and I've see baked alaska on the desert menu.

The old geezers in the band are still playing your favorites in the evenings

Garage is in no way a diner, but it's the closest thing I can think of to the atmosphere you're talking about. There's one on Wittayu at All Seasons Place and another on the 7th floor of Central World. The food's not bad overall, but the burger quality varies widely from good to mediocre depending on the day.

Bobby Joe of the 60's bar had the one on Beach Road - I doubt its him with this one.

I wonder if they are moving back into Thailand then?
