Crime Jealous Husband Kills Wife After She Refuses to Hand Over Mobile
Picture courtesy of Daily News. Police in Bangkok have arrested a 31-year-old man who beat his wife to death after she refused to let him look through her mobile phone. The suspect later claimed remorse and waited at the scene to surrender. On 7 August, Pol Col Natchaphisit Siangwan, Superintendent of Romklao Police Station, ordered Pol Lt Col Sayomphu Kuljittisirodom, Deputy Superintendent, and Pol Lt Col Prasert Sathornrat, Deputy Superintendent of Operations, along with investigative officers, to arrest the suspect, identified only as “Mr A”. He was taken into custody at his home in Soi Keha Romklao 29, Khlong Song Ton Nun, Lat Krabang District. The arrest followed a report to Romklao Police Radio at around 13:00 of a domestic dispute at a house in the same soi. Upon arrival, officers found Mr A standing outside the property. He told police he had argued with his 30-year-old wife, identified as “Ms B”, after demanding to see her phone. When she refused, he attacked her, punching, kicking and stamping on her until she lost consciousness. He then attempted CPR but was unable to revive her and she was later pronounced dead. The victim’s body has now been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine to determine the precise cause of death. Crime Malaysian Man Arrested for Secretly Filming Women & Blackmail

At 22:30 on 7 August 2025, Pol Col Naspong Khositsuriyamanee, Superintendent of Chonburi Immigration, together with Pol Lt Col Kawinwat Arayasuriwong, Deputy Superintendent, and Pol Lt Col Thong Kotanan, Investigation Inspector, led an operation to arrest Tak Sun Chong in Jomtien. The suspect faces charges of producing intimate videos without consent and extorting money from numerous victims. The arrest followed a complaint from a Thai woman who met the suspect via the WeChat app. She reported being lured to a condominium where a tiny hidden camera, concealed inside a paper bag, secretly filmed her during sexual activity. Chong allegedly threatened to release the footage on pornographic websites unless she paid him. Investigators believe many women were targeted, with some victims paying between a few hundred and tens of thousands of baht to avoid exposure. The latest complainant, however, refused to give in and instead reported the matter to police, leading to the sting operation and arrest. Police seized two miniature spy cameras, flash drives, memory cards, multiple electronic devices and two mobile phones. A search of the flash drives uncovered a large cache of intimate videos dating from 2021 to 2025. Preliminary evidence suggests dozens of Thai women were victimised. Checks revealed Chong had entered and left Thailand five times on tourist visas and had overstayed his permitted stay this time, by more than 400 days. He allegedly admitted to using the recordings as a source of income while hiding in the country, though police remain unconvinced by his full account. Officers also searched the Jomtien condominium, which Chong admitted using to lure victims. He claimed he had stolen the key card and the unit did not belong to him. Authorities are now investigating whether any of the videos have been distributed on secret web platforms. Chong has been handed over to Pattaya City Police for legal proceedings. After serving any sentence in Thailand, he will be deported to Malaysia and placed on a lifetime blacklist barring his return, with police citing his actions as a serious threat to society. Speaking today, Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai confirmed the decision, emphasising the pursuit of justice for Thai victims affected by the late July clashes. While the Thai courts cannot compel Cambodian leaders to appear, the cases will highlight accountability for the unfortunate incidents. Choosing not to approach the International Court of Justice, which Thailand does not recognise, Phumtham aims to explore other international avenues, potentially including Interpol, to keep the pressure on those responsible. He clarified that this legal action isn't a political manoeuvre but rather a firm stance on issues involving Cambodia. The move reflects Thailand’s determination to address grievances without exacerbating the border tensions further, reported Thai PBS World. Adding to the growing concerns, Deputy Defence Minister Nattaphon Nakpanich admitted challenges in resolving border issues, particularly in landmine clearance. Cambodia declined Thailand’s proposal for joint clearance operations, partly due to ongoing trust issues and the strategic nature of landmines as a defensive measure. Nevertheless, Nakpanich commended the Thai GBC secretariat for gaining agreement on most proposals, marking a small diplomatic victory. General Nattaphon further highlighted the delicate situation concerning displaced residents in four provinces. The Thai army is monitoring the area closely to guarantee safety before allowing people to return. There are concerns about unexploded ordnance that could pose a threat, urging displaced individuals to remain patient as assessments continue. The legal proceedings reflect Thailand's steadfast approach to securing justice for its citizens while navigating complicated international relationships.
