I lost my IPstar Sat.  IP address which was in the 203.xxx.xxx.xxx and every time I connect I get a router address in place of my old IP and my mask and gate everything is in a whole new range of 192.168.xxx.xxx even the IP address itself.  This connection also  is S-- as I have to wait a full ten seconds for every page to start downloading and they stall like mad.  Pages serve at 1 to 2KB.  Its useless.  :o     Thailand sites are serving worse then international.

My Sat. Modem it seems is connecting to a network and then to the internet with a new IP of 118.xxx.xxx.xxx  its not even in Thailand.  So it looks like the down link is being captured and placing me to the internet with 100 other users.  I turned off the link for 30 minutes, but it still reconnects to that network and not my real IP address.  Has this happened before?  Its off to the ToT Office on Monday I guess.  It strange that it even changed all the local IP's to a new range they where all 10.xxx.xxx.xxx before now everything even the internet IP is 192.xxx.xxx.xxx   To see the IP used on the internet I had to go to shields up and read it, it can't be seen from here, and reverse look up is turned off on that address.  All I can see from here is the local network connected to another network.

The IP of the Box normal is fixed for IP-Star. You'll need to check with your ISP what's happen. I had IP-Star from CS-L 2 years ago but with 5 static IP's and I don't know the TOT system!

Anyway, IP-Star is crap!

Cheers.

Yes I always had a static IP of 203.xxx.xxx.xxx, but now its static with 118.xxx.xxx.xxx but its not direactly connected its another network connected to that IP.  Never had it like this before., and mostly its been working pretty good until now.  Just have to wait it out until monday.

TOT uses the 118.173 range, so a new address in that range can be correct.

TOT has been fiddling with IP ranges over the last 3 months. Their engineers were given a new range so they could continue their trial-and-error learning in networking.

if you now have a 192.168.x.x address, they changed you to a private address. Anyway, having a public IP on the IPstar terminal is still pretty useless. If you're paying for a public IP address, make sure that this address is assigned to your computer (or router).
