Greenside
I've got a spare 19" LCD monitor sitting at home in the UK doing nothing and could use another one here. It's all packed up for shipping having been fixed by Viewsonic so easy to mail but I wonder about duty etc to get it in. The new price here is 6000 baht so reasonable to declare the value at about 3000 - anyone tried this? I bought another old one with me when I flew in last year, showed them the paperwork and they were so confused they just waved me through!
Boater
If you send it Via Royal Mail ( Please remember to used the registered post service ) and declare it ' A Gift ' , there should be no problems on duty ect Not to sure on the costing those? opjade
I wonder how post office will charge tax and duty on your item. Few year a go my friend send me a walkman sony from Japan for a gift (really be a gift). I had to pay tax 1500 b. and it is just about the price to buy it in Thailand
Moonfruit
Why go to the trouble of send ing a 19 inch Viewsonic monitor from the UK! These things are so cheap anyway is it really worth the time and effort?
ariesram74
yeah I really don't think it's worth the hassle of dealing with Customs, shipping fees, possible damage - just buy a new monitor here.
